The most revered places for Muslims in India are:

Ajmer Sharif, Ajmer is famous for the tomb of Hazrat Mu'inuddin Chishti, the founder of the Chishti Sufi order, one of the most important Sufi organizations

Jama Masjid, Delhi - one of the largest mosques in India and the final architectural extravagance of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is situated very close to the Red Fort.

Fatehpur Sikri is the best example of the culmination of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is said to be a copy of the mosque in Mecca and has designs, derived from the Persian & Hindu architecture

Haji Ali - This mosque was built in the middle of the sea with only a narrow path leading to it giving it an ethereal look. As per the Muslim traditions separate praying rooms for ladies and gents are provided here to pay their respects

Taj Mahal On either side of the Taj Mahal are buildings of red sandstone. The one to the west is a Mosque. It faces towards Mecca and is used for prayer.

The Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Qutub Minar, The Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque was the first mosque built in India. It was built by Qutub-ud-din Aybak using materials of 27 Jain and Hindu temples

Charminar, Hyderabad A historic monument with four graceful minarets. Built two years after the founding of the Hyderabad to mark the end of an epidemic in the city, it is often referred as the Arc of Triumph of the East.
